Cultural Tip
In Israel, restaurants often include a bread basket (לחם) at the start. Tipping (טיפ) is customary - 10-15% is standard. Most restaurants are not open on Yom Kippur, and many observe kosher laws (כשרות). Don't hesitate to ask 'כשר?' (kasher? - is it kosher?).
